Stone Is an Investment. It Deserves a Specialist.

Natural stone is one of the most beautiful surfaces in a home, and one of the easiest to damage. Marble, travertine, and limestone are calcium-based, so ordinary kitchen and bathroom cleaners can etch them. Sealers wear down. Foot traffic slowly dulls the finish. Most of what people call “dirty stone” is actually worn stone, and cleaning alone won’t bring it back.

Restoration is different. We clean with pH-neutral chemistry, hone out scratches and etch marks, polish the stone to the finish you want, and seal it so it stays beautiful longer. Every stone gets the process that is right for it, and you always know what to expect before we begin.

What we restore

Every Stone Is Different. So Is Our Approach.

We work on floors, countertops, vanities, showers, walls, fireplaces, and outdoor stone throughout San Jose and the South Bay.

Marble

Elegant, and softer than most people realize.

Marble scratches, etches, and loses its shine without the right care. We restore polished and honed marble floors, countertops, vanities, and showers, then seal and protect them.

Granite

Tough, but not maintenance-free.

Granite is much harder than marble, yet it still needs regular cleaning and sealing to resist stains. We deep-clean, re-polish dull areas, treat most stains, and seal it properly.

Travertine

Natural holes that need attention.

Filled travertine can develop open holes over time, and honed or polished finishes wear. We clean, fill holes, hone, polish, color-enhance, and seal indoor travertine and outdoor patios.

Limestone

Beautiful, porous, and easy to etch.

Limestone ranges from soft to dense and is often honed. It scratches and etches easily, so it needs proper sealing and periodic professional care to keep its look.

Slate

Rich color that can be brought back.

Slate is porous and needs cleaning and sealing. We can finish it to a natural matte look or a soft low luster, depending on what you want.

Terrazzo

Restore it without endless waxing.

Old wax finishes on terrazzo trap dirt and turn yellow. We strip, restore, and polish terrazzo to a natural finish that looks better and is easier to maintain.

Clean travertine patio with dining table and French doors after professional restoration in San Jose

Outdoor stone

Outdoor Stone and Patios

Patios, entries and walkways take more wear than any stone inside your home. Sun, sprinklers and shade let mold, algae and dark staining settle into the surface, and sealers break down faster outdoors. We clean exterior stone with pressure matched to the surface, so it comes clean without damage, then hone and seal where the stone needs it.

Travertine patios are one of the most common outdoor projects we restore. At your free in-home estimate, Ron will look at your outdoor stone and tell you honestly what cleaning alone can do, and when restoration is worth it.

Good questions

Natural Stone Care, Answered.

Why does my marble look dull even after cleaning?

Usually it isn't dirty. It's worn. Everyday foot traffic and use leave fine scratches that scatter light, so the surface looks flat. Cleaning can't fix that. The shine comes back when the surface is honed smooth again and polished, which is what professional stone restoration does.

Can etch marks be removed from marble or travertine?

In most cases, yes. Etching happens when something acidic, like lemon juice, wine, vinegar, or some cleaners, reacts with calcium-based stone. Light etch marks can usually be honed and polished out. Deeper damage is assessed in person so we can tell you honestly what is realistic.

How often should natural stone be sealed?

Most countertops do well with professional cleaning and sealing every one to two years. Floors depend on the stone and how much traffic they get. A simple test: put a few drops of water on the stone and wait a few minutes. If it darkens, the water is soaking in and it is time to reseal.

What should I use to clean my stone at home?

A pH-neutral cleaner made for natural stone. Avoid vinegar, glass cleaner, bathroom and kitchen sprays, and powdered or cream cleansers, which can etch or dull the surface. Dish soap leaves a film that builds up over time. We'll give you simple care instructions for your specific stone at the end of every job.

Do you restore countertops, showers, and outdoor stone too?

Yes. We work on floors, countertops, vanities, showers, walls, fireplaces, and outdoor stone such as travertine patios.

How much does natural stone restoration cost?

Every stone is different. Price depends on the type of stone, its condition, the size of the area, and the work needed, so stone restoration always starts with a free in-home estimate. Ron looks at your stone in person, explains what he recommends, and you agree on the price before any work begins.
